Through-check Separate Tickets?

Hi all.

I was just wondering if anyone knows if TG through-check separate tickets.

Later this year I am doing BKK-HKG TG F and HKG-AKL NZ J.

Many thanks!

Many thanks to you both.

I have about 6 hours in HKG and I just couldn't be bothered clearing immigration etc especially as the NZ check-in won't open until about 3.00pm (arrive TG600).

If TG do do it, I should be able to pick-up my NZ boarding pass from the transit desk.

There's a distinct possibility the transit desk won't be open either.

Not only that, you can't do self check in at HKG on NZ

Your best option is online check in and print your own boarding pass, if that works.

Really?

A few months ago the NZ transit desk was open at about 11am. Have they changed it do you think?

I can't speak specifically to this, which is why i couched my post as a possibility, but transit desks might only be open within 3 hours (+/-) of a departure.

Often they mimic the hours of lobby checkin.

This is not always the case, especially if they contract with CX/KA to run their desk.
