For your route LHR-BKK-SGN in Y the weight concept is used, not the piece system.
As a *G in Y you will get 30kg plus another 20kg. This can be in any number of bags from 2 or more. Your travel partner in Y will have 30kg, also in any number of bags.
TG doesn’t care whose bags are whose, as long as the two of you don’t exceed the total allowance of 30+20+30=80kg
It is as simple as that.

If travelling alone then most definitely yes - and if failing that, go for a seat in the middle pair to avoid having anyone step over you, or having to step over anyone.

OK, a newbie question here. I’ve never redeemed my ROP miles for a *A destination before but now I would like to. Tried the online booking and it is howeer not avilable as an online destination.
How to I contact TG without having to show up at their offices?
Thanks!

For an A380, that would be a lot of stairs to climb up from the tarmac to the plane.
I recently boarded TG BKK-TPE, a B777 from said C2A gate, and wondered about climbing those stairs with hand luggage.

It is rare for the A380, but can happen as Suvarnabhumi does not have that many A380 capable gates.
At least (if it is not raining), boarding an aircraft that size by stairs is a nice experience you will not get every day

wow! that must be an exception as I never boarded or deboarded a A380 from a busgate
they probably do not have mobile stairs up to the second floor of the plane, so F, J and few Y passengers on second floor have to climb the two internal stairs of the plane
was on a A380 from HKG: Boarding was only through one fingerdock to the lower floor in front and everybody on the second floor had to climb the internal stairs. Boarding took ages
please report back about the experience
