Yes I know, and believe me I did think twice about writing that!

I really hope they do, coz I would rather prefer the lie flat over the angled and old seats. Thai really need to pick up there game. I also have a connection to DEL from BKK in the old a330. So not looking forward for that in business.

This page shows that TG465/466 are going to receive the 777-300er not tg462/461.
Anyone else know whats going on?

The AusBT article is incorrect. That's probably what they were told by TG...but incorrect regardless.

It didn't say "in preference to" 462/461 did it ? Those flights already have the 300. Since the article is about "upgrades" my interpretation is that 465/466 will also get the 300 on some days.

I liked the quote: " A Thai Airways spokeswomen told Australian Business Traveller that it’s “not clear which days which aircraft will operate – it could be any day”."

Glad to see that TG staff are as confused as its passengers at times.

I flew this 2 days ago....

Seats are good - A little too short for me at 6'5".

The crew seemed like they were figuring things out - Service was a little off.

Good flight regardless - And much better than old J.

this airplane flies now also to PEK. I have a reservation this month and it shows 1-2-1 in J
and to SIN and back I flew with is last month
wonder why they use it on such short routes, while I would be happy I always had a 180 lie flat seat in J to Europe, USA or Australia

Rather than the 77W being idle at BKK for the whole day (after landing from one of the Scandinavian destinations in the early morning until the past midnight departures) it is better to use the aircraft on short/mid-range Asian routes during the day. The aircraft also flies frequently to HKT (and maybe CNX) during the day.

note the 777-300ER has been replaced by a regular 773 on many days recently, so no horizontal beds.

Looks like 8 times in the last month for non 77W.

TG462 is back to the old angled seat now and on rare occasions you might find yourself on 777-300ER but Flightaware shows 772 is consistently used on this route.
