Can you GUP for a nominee?
Simple question,

Can I use a GUP for somebody else?

Agreed - no GUP for nominees.

However, you can use the 2011 Special Gold Award which gives a 50% off mileage redemption, anytime during 2011 Gold membership for a nominee.

Resurrecting an old thread. Asking the same question to see if it has changed at all. Can I use a GUP for a nominee? Also does the economy fare class matter for GUP use?

GUP requires an economy fare in Q class or above, and usually also needs J class to available in Royal Silk.

GUP can only be used by the original Gold card holder, AFAIK.

May I trouble yourselves with a GUP related question.

Is there anyway for me to check online how many outstanding GUPs do I have and till when are they valid?

Thanks. Yep I can confirm you can't use them for nominees from my phone call last night to Thai's Bangkok reservations office.

Yes you can view them online in your account. Shows expiry dates.

a bit difficult to find...you go on the ROP page and log in. then half way down the website you see the tags
Air Awards, Hotel Awards, Lifestyle Awards, Gold (or Platinum) Award eligibility
click on the last one and then you have to click "check" and then finally you see your GUP or PUP available and expiry date
