One issue w/ Parking Spot North is that there are no alternatives right nearby. I recall parking there once and getting the very last spot - it wasn't even really a regular spot, in their employee parking area. As I pulled into the driveway, they placed a cone behind me to stop any other prospective customers.

As usual, I was a bit tight on time, and if one more car had gotten in ahead of me, I wouldn't have had time to find another offsite lot.

And this week is leading into a holiday weekend.

If you plan to use them, I'd see if I could reserve a spot, or at a minimum, call before leaving home to verify availability.

Park'n'Ride is right next door, IIRC.

Wow - if you are looking at two weeks of parking - you might consider a park and fly at a hotel. Probably be cheaper!

Houston IAH you can get off site parking for ~ $5/day so you may want to park there and fly back to DFW! (just a little Texas humor)

It does seem that on the occassions you wait longer than usual, you will see multiples of every other shuttle. Of course, you completely forget about the times when your shuttle is the first one you see .

My advise: give them a call as soon as you're on the escalator down to the lower level.

If the South is an option -- they have just opened a bunch of uncovered spots that are slowly filling up week-by-week, but still no where near full - hence the 20%/30% coupon I presume.

If you are flying during peak periods and want to reserve a spot for a nominal fee, that is also an option. (I've flown near peak periods, not necessarily during them, and have neven had a problem at South)

Haha I hear ya. A few weeks ago a 3 day trip to Lubbock turned into 10 days. Fortunately I was in the B lot at DAL ($7/day) instead of A ($10/day) so I saved a few $$.

Thanks for the info guys/gals.

Can't you just walk between the airport and your house?
Worked for me!

Nope. Over in Preston/Forest so that would be a "fun" walk to say the least!

[AA moderator note]

As this is really not about the airline but rather the airport, the discussion will be moved to the US South forum.

Do you have to make a reservation on their site to use them? Flight is at 7:40AM so I was thinking of getting there about 5:30 AM to play this one safe. Is that too early?
