Where you might have a problem is if there is weather and associated cancellations/delays. After 7 pm, they staff fairly light so if there are cancellations needing agent help, the lines can back up.

If you are cutting it close to the 45 minute window, I'd go downstairs to the curbside check-in vs. trying to wait in line. Trust me (I've learned more than once) they will not waive the bag minimum time.

are the curbside check-ins at obvious places? i have gotten off the bus in what seems to be the middle of some of the terminals, walked to the end, and not found a curbside-checkin.

would also like to point out to those with more luggage than they can use, there is an elevator at each escalator i have ever come upon.

They are downstairs at each terminal usually to the immediate right or left of where the escalator/elevator bank is.

I'm not sure if the rental car bus drops at the upstairs or downstairs? If they drop at the upstairs, you'd never see the curbside as they are on the downstairs level. (Very confusing system!)
