Land, deplane, and take Skylink to where your car is. Drive your car back to baggage claim, where you can park adjacent to the terminal in 1 hour parking. Go inside and get your bags and leave.

Not only do you not have to lug your bags onto and off of the shuttle, but you also can kill 15 minutes you'd otherwise be spending standing around the baggage claim waiting for your bags. Or the shuttle.
+1 this is exactly what I do when I check a bag. I hate waiting on Terminal Link and I can retrieve my car usually quicker than the Terminal Link ride. I always park at D no matter what terminal my flight leaves from. I can always find parking, Terminal D has elevators and security at the pre-check/trusted traveler line is rarely busy. I also send a text to myself on where my car is parked, so my text to myself looks something like Term D, Row K, lvl 4. After I have been gone for a few days I can't always remember exactly where my car is. If I haven't checked a bag of course I use Skylink to get back to terminal D.
