Find Posting From Other Members or Self ?

I'm curious to know if there's a simplified way to find postings from another member..or even postings that I may have made in the past.

Example:

I find a posting in the SPAM forum details about an offer for bonus miles in October. In June, I find that there was a change in the offer and want to add more to the posting, but can't remember how far back it was, or what I named the topic to find it. Rather than search through all of that, I know that "I" posted something in that forum or "XXX member" posted something in that forum but have to rack my brain to try to find it.

The only work-through I can find is:

1. Find the Member Name by looking at another posting.
2. Click on their name in the posting to bring up their profile.
3. In their profile, click the link that says "Find all posts by xxx".
4. Search through their postings until you find it.

It's helpful when you have trouble remembering postings, or for a quick way to get to a posting. It seems like there should be an easier way to get there, or even just to look up a member profile without having to find a posting that they made.

Example:

If there were a link to "View Member Profiles" you can just type in the profile name at any time to get pull it up.

You can search posts or threads made by a specific member using advanced search. Click on search but instead of typing the keyword(s) click on advanced search link.

You can even narrow the search down to a specific forum. Go to the forum. Click on search this forum, then advanced search.

I hope this helps.

One can also have them listed in "post" as oppose to "thread".
