New Posts icon often wrong

The icon in the left-hand column (open folder if new posts exists in a thread; closed folder if no new posts) is often wrong for me.

I will sometimes be surfing FT and post something in a thread. Then, later, I revisit the forum and it has an open folder (indicating new posts) but the new post is by me. ?!?

This has been going on for at least a year.

I'm not seeing this, it is possible that your browser is caching pages, if this is the case a refresh of the page may fix the problem for you.

I'm having similar issues. It often happens when I exit the browser and then restart it. If I then go to FT, it will show a lot of threads and posts as new and unread, while in reality they are not. It's as if the site has forgotten my last visit, if that makes any sense.

I'm experiencing this on IE and Firefox, on at least two different computers.

No, refreshing doesn't help.

I refresh and it still shows a thread as having new posts. Sometimes the thread is one I just started and the only post is the first one.

I can supply a screenshot if anyone's interested.
