New Thread notification to Mobile Device

Sorry to resurrect this, but I'm wondering if anyone can tell me how to be notified immediately of a new thread being created in the Mileage Run Deals forum? Ideally, I'd love to have something sent via email to my mobile phone. Thanks in advance for your advice.

There's a program called IFTTT that would do this, but I'm not sure if it would violate the Section 4 of FT T&C's:

Any copying, aggregation, display, distribution, performance or derivative use of our sites and services or any content posted on our sites and services whether done directly or through intermediaries (including but not limited to by means of spiders, robots, crawlers, scrapers, framing, iframes or RSS feeds) is prohibited.
Could a moderator please clarify if it'd be okay to use an RSS alert tool like IFTTT for a limited, personal use without any "copying (i.e. for publication or any of the other purposes that follow), aggregation, display, distribution, performance, or derivative use"?

I think it'd be a great way to sort deals by origin/destination and ultimately drive traffic back to Flyertalk.

I'm happy to discuss further via PM.

Now wondering if this was an "ask for forgiveness later" scenario.

Lots of discussion about using this tool as a way to address some other concerns (though I think after they changed the refresh rate for the RSS feed, it eliminated the need for it).

No mention there that it might not be permitted. I thought there were posts from IB staff discussing the use of that tool, but I don't see it. I see the FT Community Director posted about it, but not anything like the approval that you're looking for

Thank you! I also don't see any explicit prohibitions either, so that works for me too.

I know most websites have these "crawler-exclusion-clauses," but they usually aren't relevant/enforced unless another website is importing massive amount of data and republishing it for some benefit.

Just thought I'd double check. I like FT a bit more than most websites. :P
