How to find posts by a member?
Howdy.
I'm trying to find some posts by a certain member. IIRC, you used to be able to use search for this. Any ideas now that search is gone? (and if search is back please let me know why I keep getting an error message when I try to use it... Firefox is okay, right?)

I generally use Google for a search like this. Simply go to google and enter the following search terms:
Of course, replace your username with any other one you'd like...
It's not quite as clear as the search results we used to get here, but it definitely works.

See my thread a couple of days ago here
The google search doesn't replace this great function because it doesn't display the most recent threads first. So, does anyone know why the function is disabled even if the search function works?

I found it actually works better with Yahoo sometimes and can also work with MSN Search but does not seem to find some of the individual posts on search.msn.com.

I am so digusted, why would they change this? It was so nice to be able to pull up past posts - and others too! Why the changes?

advanced google search
Does anyone know of a way to return results just from a specific forum?
I thought (incorrectly) that adding the forum-title (like "delta skymiles") to my search string would do the trick... no such luck.

The reason why typing "Delta SkyMiles" only does not work is that the navigation bar at the bottom of each page shows up as search text in every FlyerTalk page on Google.

Many thanks.
