Chiclets
I have a couple more questions about the "Chiclets". I understand that for every 100 points, you gain another Chiclet but...
1 - Can you lose them as well?
2 - Are there other colors?
3 - If you get only negative reputation comments, will you get Red chiclets?
4 - What's with that Grey chiclet I see sometimes?
5 - Is there a limit to number of Chiclets you can aquire?
6 - What is the formula for reputation points? I read the Faq about "Rep
Altering Power" after XXX posts, years registered, etc, but how are these applied to a particular post?
7 - If someone leaves you comments, but they arent counted because he/she doesnt yet meet the "rep requirements"...will they retroactively be counted when they DO meet the requirements?
Thanks!

Here is what I know (limited):
1: Yes, if you fall below a threshold, the chiclet goes away.Y
2: Green , Black (User has disabled Reputation), Grey (Somewhere between 0 and -??? Reputation points) & Red (After -??? Reputation points)
3: Yes, see above
4: See Above
5: Dunno
6: Each user has a "Rep Altering Power" that they can use (provided they hold 20+ reputation points). Each time you click on the Scales, that amount of "Rep Altering Power" is applied positive or negative.
7: Don't think so. I have a few grey comments that have no changed color.
Remember, you can only give 3 reps a day and must give rep out to 50 different members before you can give rep to the same member again.
I am certain that this feature is there to protect against "Lynch Mob" dinging.

The base of ten was reputation score, not bling/ding bestowal, I believe.
I will concur with the fact that the gray bling/ding lozenges do not change to red/green in the future because otherwise, the system would be constantly recalculating the value as members aquire more reputation or posts. It is a snapshot based on reputation-altering power at a given time.
A gray lozenge received means that it was neutral, that is, the poster lacked the 250 posts and 20 points of reputation to affect your own reputation.
In another bulletin board I'm aware of, the maximum was 12 lozenges.

But, the Math does not add up:
You need a minimum of 250 posts to alter reputation, but get your first altering power point at 1,000 posts.
You need to be a member for 365 days in order to gain "Age" points.
You don't get Chiclet points until 100 reputation points.
There must be a base "altering" number, I just don't know what it is.
