Old links don't work.

Old links don't work.
a few days before 'the change', I included a link in a post about Amsterdam. I linked to an older thread about Amsterdam restaurants in the now defunct 'dining- europe- other countries forum. After 'the change', the link no longer works. I went back and edited the original post so it now reflects the new location of the old thread.
Perhapse some announcement should be made encouraging others to also update old links? It would make viewing older posts easier if many of these links were updated.

I agree with you, HigherFlyer. This is the only major criticism that I have with the new boards. There are many, many posts in which people have helpfully linked to other FT threads and these are all now useless - this is a great reference resource that is now wasted. 
Also, I tended to save or bookmark threads that have been helpful, and these, too, are all now useless.
