Although I thought that I somewhat deserve a positive rating by initiating a 4-star thread, at least 0 is better than bad reputation.

There are client side issues
venk: I think you underestimate who is building this board. I've earned well over 12 million miles, used to average more than 250,000 actual flight miles a year so I think I know of what you speak. The features aren't the problem since if you stood back, you'd see that each one was carefully designed to make your individual experience on FT truly yours.
(BTW, no freddie for the web site was a joke! that is what people say when a hotel or airline redisgns their site and has problems).
I am sure you will solve the problem from the server side. That is not what I am talking about.
I am talking about pages that have now become much bigger. For example, as I type this, this reply page is over 54kb in size not including any graphics. I am serious about trying to work this from the LHR T3 RCC computers trying to render this page with all the scripting and tables let alone downloading this. I am not against change and the old one had served its purposes but the beauty of that design was that it was so usable from the worst computer with the worst connectivity (I remember browsing once via a GPRS connection through a mobile). That has to be balanced against feature richness. How have you considered this?
Other than that the rest I can get used to. BTW, there are high volume sites with message boards and everyone of them have tried to minimize the features out of necessity.
The ideal would be if I could customize my view of the pages to be minimal in adornments or scripting (or alternatively, a low bandwidth access to the same content without the bells and whistles).
Just a suggestion.
By the way I hope you have realized that this anonymous rating system of posters just results in a popularity contest encouraging the kind of posts that only politicians would make so as to be disagreeable with the least amount of people. A demerit point everytime one doen't agree with someone? Not the best feature I am afraid.

@johan rebel:
The word KLM is too short, vBulletin software needs at least for characters per word to search for it...
As far as the new FT is concerned, I like it but FT needs to ensure they will have more or better servers in order to better handle the surplus in traffic due to the new board...
By the way, can anyone tell me what rating I am having currently?

There's a little green button in that profile on the side of the post - let your cursor rest on it, and your reputation pops up.

While the first couple of days were painful. I really am getting to like this version. My speed is getting faster and the information available is much greater. Thanks FT and Randy.

Hi,
It's Saturday Morning @ 10:55 and it still takes up to 90 seconds to load pages on a high speed connection.
With all due respect to the FlyerTalk techies and the folks kissing Randy's ..., this is still unusable. I hope Randy has a backout plan to revert back to the original technology solution if this is continues for much longer. I wish him all the best.
FlyerTalk is on the verge of becoming a mere shadow of its former self.

I think that it is amazing how some people have absolutely no patience. Common sense would tell you that the institution of a new BB would have relayed growing pains. Folks, you should remember that Rome was not built in a day. The speed has improved a great deal during the last 24 hours.
My hat is off to Randy and the FT gang for giving us such an improved board. ^
BTW, considering that FT is free to all, and it is Randy's (considerable) investment that keeps this board running, it would be nice to see some appreciation voiced instead of all these complaints.
