Page Refreshes
Not sure if this is operating as expected...
In the past (up to a few weeks ago), any time you went to a page you used in the past, the page would load a fresh copy of the page. So if you hit back-arrow or went to the page "manually", the page would provide you with the latest version (so if there was a new post while you were typing a message, it would show). In the last few weeks, it has stopped doing this, instead, you need to manually refresh the page itself to see if you missed a post.
It's a nit pick thing, but curious if something has changed or is this the new norm?

It's extremely annoying and has been discussed in the "Reading thread to end" thread.

From the looks of it, it's a caching issue. I suspect that someone changed a caching value to keep a page longer... would probably save a bit on bandwidth cost , Not sure it's worth the trade off of annoying users.

Yes, please do. The loss of this former feature ("bug") causes significant extra work and frustration for FlyerTalkers who like to read many, most, or all posts in a sub-forum, but not necessarily in chronological order.

This is now happening using the desktop version on my computer; it's beyond annoying and is making the site very unuser friendly.

I thought I had changed my settings and spent time looking at all of my browser settings. Now that I know, I refresh the page from my subscribed threads to do so.
Until this is corrected, you can just refresh the page that has the list of your subscribed threads (Ctrl-R) and it will update when it reloads.
