Guys, again, we cannot replicate this, even with your input (it's appreciated, though). Our recommendation at this point would be to try a different browser or disable any extensions you may be running.

Interesting. I've seen this on 2x browsers and 2x OSes both in stock form and no extensions. I really don't think it's a browser issue unless something that displays the likes is using client side processing like javascript.

Can you create a test user account that one of us could use just for testing purposes? We can then test it on this thread and then instruct you guys on exactly how to replicate the issue.

It does because narrowing it down helps define exactly when it happens and what code to examine.

I understand that but only if someone at FT is trying to fix it.

Here's something interesting I just noticed: I am currently using my phone to browse the full version of FT (not mobile site) and have not once gotten the ARG.

That's weird. I get that no matter which device and browser I use.

I regret to inform you this is no longer the case.

My account is consistently ARG4/6 now if I am the 2nd/3rd/maybe others, does someone that admins this site want to work with me to cure this?

Latest ARG4 here: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/33642391-post32.html

If there is enough information to fix it, they will.

It's like bringing your car to a mechanic and saying 'fix it' and then leaving. Your car will sit there until they have no other jobs to work on before they touch it...

I've noticed a lot less ARGs in the last few days on threads. Anyone else seeing the same or is it ARG as usual?

Latest, 2nd poster, ARG4, https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/33885425-post6275.html

As I say, I am happy to work with IB or whatever you are called to try and sort this as I seem to be the one pointing it out the most at the moment.

I am still getting the usual amount of ARG on my computer; no change for me.

If I am the first person to like a post, it shows with my handle. If I am the 2nd or more, it shows as ARG. If I am the third or more, it appears to write over another handle's like and puts in the ARG for me. Thus, I back out my like in such a case.

I don't think the likes are actually being overwritten at the db level, but are just not being retrieved correctly from the db, hence why the php is displaying the ARG error for the variable.

I'm actually surprised that you're getting the same problem as this indicates that it is occurring across all usergroups. :(

And to update, yes, it's ARG as usual for me too--I just hadn't been on as much as usual until now.

Maybe the whole like system is stuck on 'talk like a pirate day': :D
