Wow now we have a metric of how likable everyone is. Apparently no one likes anyone from what I can see.

it's Wednesday

there's now a banner after a post with Likes that identifies who Liked it, and when (in addition to showing the Likers at the bottom of the post)

also ... profiles now show "Received 0 Likes on 0 Posts" ... are these artifacts of the debugging/testing process?

Silver Fox's like is recorded but mine is not in the above example. I've exited this page and then returned and the same "The following users liked this post:" is shown.

It's also showing the likes on the post as well as who just liked the above post. It's really annoying.

It looks like they're testing things out in prod or something. Now I have started seeing the "liked by" list under each post, even though the "liked by" list is already in the related post. :rolleyes:

I guess they'll actually add the counts to the side panel Likes/Received Likes On Posts metrics at a later time. :rolleyes:

What's the point of the banner? It scans as another post and just takes up more real estate. It actually looks a lot like it's a post that's been made by someone on the ignore list.

Hopefully it's just a bug in the rollout. Really dislike the extra "post box" for likes and don't really need my number of likes counted.

That's different than the total count in the user profile.

Edit: Oh, I just liked yyznomad's post, and now my sidebar says "Likes: 1". So I guess it only tracks new likes?

I liked your original post and now doesn't show. Like button disappeared too.

Took a good thing and ruined it. No need for a separate box to show the likes. Should have just left it in the post.

I was looking at photos on the Travel Photography forum and saw this one that reminded me of my visit there, with my photo having almost the same colors and sky.

At the bottom, it had these options.

As soon as I liked the post, the "Like" button disappeared.
