Who do you think is paying for flyertalk? You are paying. If you are not paying via the ad clicks what remains?

I find that force quitting "Disnoted" in the activity monitor makes FT more useable.

1.2 GB of Memory Use

Dear FlyerTalk,

Every time I go into a section of the forum, a dialogue box of "FlyerTalk wants to use 1.2 Gb of your storage space pops up." Is there a way to not have this come up on MacBooks?

Could you please post a screenshot? I haven't used a Mac in 7 years and am unfamiliar with the latest systems.

I ended up finding a fix. The cookies were using up too much memory and the Mac warning code of "allowing FlyerTalk to use 1.2 gb of memory" pops up.

I went to safari preference, and erased FlyerTalk cookies, and the warning went away.

This issue has resurfaced over the weekend. When navigating to the FT website, various pages are causing FT to freeze up and Safari to crash. The fan in the MacBook goes on high until force quitting the browser. Safari 14.1.2 Restarted the computer to no avail. No other websites are having this problem.

Personally I have not noticed this problem. Could it be a badly behaved advert you frequently get served up?
