FlyerTalk has switched its email provider to a newer provider with additional provisions made to sign the email correctly to avoid spam and increase delivery success.
The process that generates these email(s) is reporting "success" every day and additionally for some of you I am seeing that you have successfully received email. Will investigate further. Is it only "daily digest" email that's failing to deliver for everyone? |
Flyertalk changed outgoing email providers to actually decrease the overall spam rating of the forum notification emails. They're obviously tracking "clicks" by default and I'll see if we can disable that option.

I usually get about 10 forum updates per day, but lately it's only been 4 I'm getting. Clearly something changed.

Difficult for me to definitively tell about thread subscriptions, but I think I'm getting all the thread subscriptions I should be getting. Thanks for investigating. |

Data point: Not getting daily premium fare updates. Am getting Special Credit card offers notification.
So whatever it is, it is inconsistent. |
A possible issue was identified and the next email task, scheduled for midnight pacific time should hopefully resolve the problem.

Good that its being worked on. But why is no one checking these things out when the change occurs to see if the "improvement" actually works. I am referring to folks that make the change. Obviously they must be subscribing to some if not all the forums. I have these issues for at least 2 weeks now but went to the subscription site to subscribe again the ones I remembered by heart and some of these are coming back but not all and the most important subscription to me is not coming even after several attempts to renew.

Looks like things took a turn for the worse. I haven't received a single Flyertalk email since Oct 12.

Yeah, whatever they did, please reverse it. Zero digests are arriving now.

I'm the same - haven't received forum daily digests for at least a week and probably a bit longer. Using gmail, and it's not even getting as far as my spam folder...

I thought it was just me - not a single notification for 3-4 days now, I usually get 15-20 per day. Not in my spam folder either. Something is wrong.

How come read threads are inconsistently still showing in Myflyertalk as unread. Just started this pattern.

Same here. Suddenly last week no more subscribed thread daily digests. Usually they arrive around 3am EST. One day I got the same ones that arrived in the middle of the night later in the day. Since then, nothing.

After about a week of not receiving messages, I posted to this thread yesterday and last night began receiving my nightly notifications, so maybe there's some progress ahead.

no nightly notification for me last night. I only get one - a digest of the Premium Fares thread.

After several days of no emails, today I got 3 out of about 10 forum digests.

I got one out of two daily digests today - Mileage Run. The one I didn't get is its sub forum - Premium Fare Deals

Yesterday I changed my FlyerTalk email address and today I got all my 5 daily notifications, including Premium Fare Deals.

I didn't change anything, however today all the forum digests appear to be working again. For me at least. So thanks for fixing whatever you fixed.

Its appears to be working today for me as well. Keep the settings the same, don't thinker with it. No need for improvements from now on.

Is this the correct thread to ask about email notifications of PMs? I've it set up and was working fine for months - all of a sudden, I no longer get notified of new PMs. Please help!

No, same email address as before.
My inbox did go beyond 90% space, after which I cleaned it up. Roughly since then, haven't been getting notifications. |

To clarify, when I meant inbox, I was referring to the FT inbox, NOT my email inbox. I havent deleted a single notification from FT on my email as of now. I also check spam pretty often, and I receive notifications from threads that I've subscribed to in real time. Hope that helps, and I really appreciate the attention you've given to my problem! |
Ah, OK, shan. So you cleaned out your FT PM inbox and then no longer received notification emails from FlyerTalk. Is that correct?
