Let's just say I hate the new design. It's not an improvement IMO. Others have detailed the reasons why it's a step backward so rather than quote all of them I'll assume everyone read the reasons why. I wish everyone the best of luck reading the newest POS (IMO).

Cheers.

I think my eyes are bleeding. It looks like someone resurrected ClearType and set it as bad as it can be.

Who decided to change font colors to black, but only some of them? "Let's make the thread names black, but then leave blue for the page numbers, "Last Page", symbols, etc"? With a narrow font that just blurs together. So we can leave even more empty white space doing nothing.

Seriously, just terrible. Just plain hard to read. There has to be some parameters, tuning, "legacy mode", no?

If it ain't broke......break it?

This is better than the old version, but the old version was inferior to what it replaced.

IOS, safari

Actual post content within individual threads is huge!

Example, post 137 starts out “I think my eyes are bleeding. ” That sentence takes an entire line, all the way across. Like it’s 10 times bigger in size than the user info text.

It's terrible. The white makes my eyes hurt, and the font makes me think I'm going blind as it is way too large.

SkiAdcock Mar 26, 2018 6:56 pm

My eyeballs are bleeding from all the white.

It's too bad there wasn't any feedback from anyone in the sticky thread that was posted a week ago in the Technical Support and Feedback sub-forum.

Whenever IB rolls out UI changes to FT, I think of the Simpsons episode where Homer designs a car. The choices make about as much sense.

HAHAHAHAHA. Just logged onto the desktop version of FT for the first time today.

Who keeps coming up with these "updates" to the website??? This is becoming like a bad hotel (Hilton?) or airline (Delta?) devaluation. Repeatedly "updating based on user feedback" when in reality making things increasingly worse for the user.

My eyes legit hurt from the last 5 minutes spent reading through this. Great job all around.

Comically bad (says this under 30 year old millennial).

I only read back about 10 posts so this may have been posted 130 times already. Right-click, open in new tab does not seem to be a thing anymore. I wish it were a thing still.

Jagboi Mar 26, 2018 7:12 pm

Why is everything so spread out? There used to be multiple posts per page on a desktop, now I'm lucky to get one post on a screen. My screen down arrow is getting a workout just to read a thread.

Marriott Forum - tons of white space. Two lousy thread titles shown below the stickies.

Random font size generator?

You think that's the best way to collect user input, because everyone visits the Technical Support and Feedback subforum all the time to catch on frequent travel topics. Maybe next time GM needs user feedback on a car design they're park a prototype in a deserted parking lot in the middle of Nevada, with a note under the windshield asking for design feedback.

Seriously - after 9 months, that's your first contribution?

The forums that have sticky threads look awful! You can't even see normal posts without first scrolling the page; and that is without ads taking up space.

In the PM inbox, the sender’s username is a much larger font than the subject of the PM. That draws the eye and thus the mouse cursor to click on the username rather than the subject line, erroneously opening the sender’s user profile rather than the actual PM message.
