When is the cursor bug being worked on? Very annoying...

Cursor bug has been reported. No ETA at this time, I'm sorry.

The page jumping when not signed in is still not fixed. Sorry if there are typos - I can’t see what I’m typing because of the cursor bug mentioned above.

FWIW, the cursor appears in the correct location until the first character is typed. Then the whole line disappears into the header. Persists even on the second line. Using quick reply on iOS 11 iPad Pro.

I primarily use FT on the iPad. Since the upgrade these are the most annoying ‘enhancements’ not fixed yet in my opinion.

1. The cursor issue. Can’t see what you are typing without having to stop and scroll up to check.

2. When replying to a post, the first letter of a paragraph defaults to lower case..which when combined with the above cursor issue means you don’t actually spot it until you scroll back up to see what you have just written. Arghhhh

3. When expanding the screen in your iPad (zooming in) the right hand side vertical advert overlaps the topic text so you can’t read the topic thread... you have to zoom back out again. I have poor eyesight and this bug is really annoying as it prohibits me from slightly zooming in.

Click just below the text you're composing, and then hit the delete/backspace key. That's always fixed this issue for me. I think it was also mentioned in another thread.

I can't seem to easily get to MyFlyertalk on the mobile version. I'm using it on an iPad, and previously, I had a shortcut straight into MFT. Now it takes me to my profile page where I can make changes. In order to get to the "right" MFT, I have to go to the home page and select it from the menu. The counter for how many unread subscribed threads is gone.

I am in the same boat with # 3 -- is there a way to fix this?

This bug has been reported and should be fixed in an upcoming release.

Scrolling the topics page still lags on my 2017 iPad Pro in desktop mode in safari.

What exactly is happening?

Stutters. The usual 120fps turns into 15 or so. If I scroll really quickly, I see white space and then the content fills in after a short delay. Similar thing happens on my iPhone X, but is more noticeable after zooming in.

Here's a short video of what I see on my ipad. Once I go into the posts page, it scrolls fine.

It's taking time to load the ads and that's causing the stutter.

That can’t be the intended experience on apple’s fastest current hardware, right?

I would try using the mobile skin. It's the way the site is designed to be browsed from Mobile.

I find that often when I try to edit a post (of my own) on mobile in which I quoted someone, only the quotation is there to edit; any text that I added and posted is gone in edit mode. And it's not just a display glitch: if I click save, the post is modified to contain only the quotation, deleting any text I've added.

This is using an up-to-date iPhone 6s (iOS 11.2.5) with up-to-date Safari; it's been an issue for maybe a month or two, so dating back at least a few point releases of iOS. It happens usually but not always when I (try to) edit a post.

(I don't have access to my phone to produce screenshots at the moment.)

With the recent mobile skin update, I’ve noticed that the thread titles get truncated, even though there’s plenty of room on the screen for more words.

The page jumps for me, while logged in, if I click on a thread I haven’t been on in a while. If I scroll up slightly, it jumps way up to my oldest unread post, which can sometimes be tens or hundreds of pages back. Only on mobile.

I'm not seeing that. If you'd like to report your browser/device/skin, and post a video capture, we can take a look!

I switched to the desktop skin to check something and now I can't get my iPad browser to go back to the mobile site; there is no longer a link at the end of each thread to switch back!

If you have an ad blocker, turn off. If not, try clearing cache?

Can you take a screen shot? I don't know which banner you're referring to.

Are you using the mobile or desktop skin? I tested with both, but when I was on the mobile skin, t did at first appear that I couldn't see my own text. I just had to scroll down.

You are on a mobile device, I take it. This is a known bug that happens when you zoom in on a mobile device -- the right banner ad moves into the content column and covers the posts. We hope to have that resolved in a future software patch, but no eta as yet.

Yep, sorry about that. If you use the mobile skin, this problem won't occur.

Mobile skin. I try scrolling down but there's no text further down. I also try switching to the source view (which I far prefer to the poor WYSIWYG editor); same issue there.

(Don't have access to my phone now so I can't test at the moment.)

I'm still seeing the jumping back too. I've upgraded my iPhone 6 to latest iOS and this hasn't fixed it. It doesn't happen all the time but when it happens it's annoying. I've seen this behaviour both with and without an ad blocker running.

On the jumping, prevailing wisdom is that you may be using very slow connections and the ads are still loading. Wait for the page to fully load and you will not see the screen jump.

The tool bar covering your typing is an issue that has been reported, and acknowledged, and I will update the thread when it's fixed. There is no ETA on that fix at this time. Wish I had better news.
