Hotel Review - can't submit
After spending almost an hour creating a hotel review and loading in pics - the submit button won't work. Nothing happens - any suggestions? Don't want to leave page as it will all be lost.

*Title
*Hotel name
*Would you recommend this hotel
Then the button will work.

Glad it got sorted for the OP!
Although I'm actually not a fan of the hotel review function.
The fonts, layout, etc, are different than the rest of FT posts, which becomes obvious if someone uses the review function & it plops into a thread already existing re: the property where the review post is an eyesore compared to the rest of the posts on the property.
What's also a bit silly/stoo-pid is that if you click on the 'see detailed review' icon on the review post it takes you to the exact same post that you've just read & in the comments section are the posts that are in the original property thread on the hotel forum. Duh. Shakes head.
If I review a property I'll just review it in a property thread as a normal post or start a new thread if it's a property that doesn't have input, as visually it's more appealing & it doesn't cause redundant clicks back to a thread that already exists. I won't use the review thread function.
Cheers.

system is mainly about importing into http://www.flyertalk.com/hotel-reviews/
for a while they were also using system to copy all reviews into review forum
originally the copies would link original thread, but no longer does that

I've just tried to post a hotel review by clicking 'Reply with Review' in the http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/hilto...rside-chn.html thread. Even though I have filled in the required fields (Title, Hotel name, Review text, Would you recommend this hotel), I am unable to click on the orange Submit New Thread button. However, when I go to http://www.flyertalk.com/hotel-reviews/ and click Write a Hotel Review, I am able to click on the orange Submit New Thread button after completing the required fields. Would you be able to look into this please? Thanks!

I just tried again in Firefox. The first time it didn't work (the Submit New Thread button remained light orange even though I had filled in the required fields). I then tried it in IE and was able to click the Submit New Thread button, so I refreshed the page in Firefox and the second time it worked!

*Clear your browser cache and cookies
*Turn off plugins -- especially ones that change what you see on the page
*Try doing your task in another browser and see if it resolves
2. If it's still happening, tell us *step by step* what you are doing to make your problem happen.
3. Try to begin any trouble report by telling us your device, browser, whether you are using the full site or mobile skin, and anything else you think is helpful.
4. Screen shots are often the most helpful thing you can post.
5. When you make a report, we have either seen it reported before, or we haven't. If we have seen it reported before, it's either already been fixed, or it has not. If we have not seen it before, we must ask you a lot of questions (like this), because you are either the FIRST or the ONLY one reporting an issue, and that's the same thing to us, until and unless we get additional reports of the same issue. When there's a single report, the chances that it is a browser issue and not a FT issue are very high. When you switch browsers and it is fixed, the chances of that are higher still.

I've written 2 reviews. Words or sentences that are properly spaced in my review often become mashed together in posts within a thread.
