Is it me or is the thread start date missing when you are in a forum and are looking at the list of threads. Usually it appears right below or next to the OP's name. I found this to be a very useful tool as a moderator to see if a thread was say started today or it's a 3-5 year old thread (or longer) being posted to

No, I am seeing - or not seeing - that too.

jbeckett Mar 28, 2016 2:28 pm

I agree, the thread start date is missing. I'd like to have it back.

+1 In fact, it means so much to me that I came searching for a specific thread to post this comment :)

Please bring it back.

It's not just you.

I just noticed the same thing and decided to come over to this thread. That date was helpful for me to see if I was about to read an obsolete thread with a recent post or if the thread was recently started.

Doc Savage Mar 28, 2016 2:32 pm

The "Your posts" and "Your threads" links are now missing from the "Quick links" drop down. How are we supposed to find our earlier posts and threads?

controller1 Mar 28, 2016 2:32 pm

Quotes missing

Deleted.

UPDATE: Deleted original as they are now present.

Testing...

Smaug Mar 28, 2016 2:48 pm

It appears all the buttons got a makeover except for the "Reply with Review" button, which doesn't match the other buttons in format or color.

remdk Mar 28, 2016 2:52 pm

The frame containing the thread identity and login information is much wider than the postings frame. This is causing a reduction in the size of the postings frame to accommodate the 'heading' frame. Making postings more difficult to read.

JDiver Mar 28, 2016 3:03 pm

In the Quick Links submenu, "My Threads" is missing? I'm getting messages about this.

Could you post a screenshot of what you mean? I just want to be clear on my understanding of the issue.

Please also list you browser type and device type if you're on mobile.

Working on this guys, thank you.

We'll work on that, thank you.

kuroko Mar 28, 2016 3:36 pm

is it me or is the mobile site totally different (ios)? you can scroll endlessly instead of going to the next page which is good however if I click on a thread I start always at post #1 rather than where I left.

(same story as the pprune mobile site)

The infinite scroll feature is brand new.

You should still start at the last read post if you use the link that brings you there; otherwise you will start at the beginning of a thread.

It's fixed-just log out, clear your history, cache & cookies, quit and relaunch your browser and you should see the thread start date as the above steps worked for me

not working for me; visited this thread now 4 times and always at #1, am I missing something?

Because this is cookie based, it may help to clear your cookies and starts fresh. Or it may just take some time for the database to reset for all threads and users.

Let me know if it's still happening in 24 hours please.

wrp96 Mar 28, 2016 5:55 pm

I don't know if it's intended, but when reading a thread now, every 3-4 posts I'm getting an ad between the posts. If it's intended, let it be known that it is extremely annoying and off putting.

It is designed that way.

Seconded. This change is terrible and makes me think that every single thread I've read today has ended prematurely before I realise it continues on after the advertisement.

I get a 500 error when trying to access mobile.flyertalk.com. My user agent string: Mozilla/5.0 (BB10; Touch) AppleWebKit/537.35+ (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/10.3.1.2576 Mobile Safari/537.35+

LtKernelPanic Mar 28, 2016 9:55 pm

While not really a tech issue the icon for the alert moderator button is really distracting IMO. Not sure if it's the blue background but it keeps drawing my eye away from what I'm reading to it instead when scrolling down the page.

Unable to access FT mobile app

Since approximately 6:00 PM on Monday, March 28, I have been unable to access the FT mobile site with my BlackBerry. (Keep getting a "500" error.)

Is this likely to be a temporary or a permanent problem?

nwa330 Mar 28, 2016 10:53 pm

The new platform that rolled out today isn't very user friendly. You are now unable to toggle between pages with out typing in the page number. There should be arrows for going to the last page and another for jumping to the next page. It's difficult to have to enter the page number manually. Can this feature be looked at for a modification?

I agree, that icon is pretty annoying. The yellow triangle was better.

Is it just me, on Android, who is seeing the mobile site looking very poorly formatted?

The design is atrocious at present...

EDIT: Evidently I was on too early, and thus the changes had not yet been sent through for mobile. It now looks great.

I'm not positive if this is what remdk is talking about, but below is how it looks on mine. Notice that the red lines I added are not parallel to the blue lines I added. Was this by design?

Wow....

Congratulations, I guess.

You just managed to take a rather decent website that was visually appealing and trash it into something almost completely unreadable.

Well done.

That's not particularly useful. What specifically so you not like? I'm an android mobile site user and appreciate that I can see more on the page, plus infinite scroll.

Bad call. It gives the impression the thread is done and disrupts the flow.

Anything we can do to get rid of the mid-page placed ads?

Had you seen the page I had, no explanation would have been necessary.

The Mobile Site changes have since been loaded through, and it now looks great.

I've noticed that when I'm quick-posting a reply, I can't select text in the box unless I hold down shift while selecting.

The only way I can acres the site is through my computer.

What have I done wrong?

You've done nothing wrong. The software upgrade will no longer support the app. However, the mobile site is still functioning properly.
