Yeah me too. I am getting this Chinese dating stuff with very inappropriate pictures of lightly clad Chinese girls just like you. I cannot believe FT is allowing this garbage to be advertised, totally inappropriate.

I am having major issues logging on to FT in the house as I have family and kids whom I do not want to be exposed to such things. FT seriously needs to gets its act together on the ad content!

Are either of you accessing FT from outside the US and if so, from where?

At present the reply page is loaded with 4 ads, 2 for dating Russian women in English and 2 for Brazil visa free travel in Japanese (visitbrasil.com) !

I am logged in from Tokyo while writing this response. The Chinese porn ads are in English as pictured ! If I log in via VPN (Toronto or San Francisco) I am still served the same Chinese porn ads, this is Flyertalk centred as I am not served the Chinese porn ads when on any other site, whether they be local sites, European, North American !

I doubt you'll have many people agreeing these are "porn" but I will investigate. Let's not get hyperbolic here.

I myself wouldn't consider it porn but it does beg the question as to how those ads are relevant to the people who use FT. I am guessing that the people who are looking for that already know where to find it.

I guess we will have to disagree what is appropriate or not :) ! If you can't read ad pictured in the attachment, it is targeted for those folks that want to cross-dress like cute Korean girls ! Pretty bottom of the barrel, but that is JMHO and of course nothing to do with Travel/Points etc. By the way I neither cross dress (not my kink :p ), nor have any inclination to hook up with women of any sort ! :)



So where does it end ? You can't dream this stuff up, ads on a travel forum that are appealing to the following demographics, white western men who want to date Chinese/Russian women and Japanese child centric kink lovers !

I have found a really simple solution for the sidebar ads: Keep your browser at 150% magnification. These old eyes never see the sidebars. :)

Of course, if I look at those ads now, I see an ad for Marriott. Is it because I Google/visit Marriott sites? Don't know...

Happening now throughout FT. Had to google flyertalk technical support to get back to this page without being redirected.

Sounds like a browser issue. Were you logged in at the time?

If it's still happening, try clearing your cache/cookies.

I was logged in. I don't know if it's happening today because I'm at work on a different computer.

Last night it was really messed up, with those Ridge Grappler ads partially covering up even other ads and the left and right margins of the page. It was late, so I just went to bed. :D

I have been subjected to Hyatt credit card popup ads for the last few days almost every time I visited the UA forum. This is in addition to the inline Hyatt credit card ads. Was using my iPad with Safari.
