Something is blocking scrolling navigation on my IE11 / Windows 10 setup. No right hand scroll bar shows, and can't drag around page using touchscreen. Tabbing around elements works, but is a rubbish way to navigate.
Not all the time, but can't explore page to see what is common when it happens. Started a couple of days ago. Still happening. EDIT: To get things usable again I put the following DNS entries (all the domains accessed captured from a trace when things get stuck) into the local hosts file. Not a solution that I like, but it at least allows me to post this :). If I get time to figure out which is the specific cause I'll let you know, but spending an hour to get to this point is already frustrating enough ! Code:

Holy bad advice, just so everyone else knows - while it would, likely, work - this hosts file will quite literally break the internet. It'll prevent Google from loading.
It wasn't advice to everyone to do the same, and hopefully no one would just do something suggested by a complete stranger that mangles their internet settings. It was info that hopefully will allow the IB team to figure out who / what may be sending over the flaky content. |

Occasionally, the ads on the side of the screen obsure the meaningful text. This is on an iPad Air 2 (I believe) running iOS 9.2.1 (says the device), using the provided (and update) Safari, in the US.

Is there anything I can do about it when someone else posts a large photo?

They should appear once/day per browser if you are logged in.

Don't worry folks, it won't break 'the internet'. My own specific experience may be enhanced or degraded, but yours will continue as before :). BTW, Google still works as (to me surprise) there is some anti-tampering feature of Windows Defender that removes redirects of certain well-known sites.

We've changed the behavior of the ad. It should appear that way only if you're not logged in.
And there is a second ad, one with no content, only a grayed out screen with an X to click. |

Tripreport forum on iPad
Hello
I'm using an iPad Air 2 with iOS 9.2.1. Ads cover up the right side of the top of the first page on all posts of the Tripreport forum, it doesn't happen on the following pages. http://s15.postimg.cc/jsaf6ksjf/image.jpg Thanks Holzklasse |
Welcome to FlyerTalk, Holzklasse.
I'm sure our Tecnical Support staff will see this Tuesday (Monday is a national holiday in the USA). Thank you. |
