It's probably 'busier' becuase of the additional (re)hits people are making trying to get into the forum. I don't imagine it's 'true' additional user volume. If folks could get in the first time, I bet the volume goes back to normal.

I second this, something is very wrong.

But all other forums are accessible, like United, CO, Starwood, but AA is just DOWN! If it is inaccessible to most people, it is effectively down. Hopefully something can be done about it...

There is definitely something wrong with the forum. I can get to the United forum so it can't be just because it is one of the 'larger forums'. United's is bigger.

I seem to remember this happening to the AA forum another time not too very long ago.

When in doubt, and have tried everything, reboot the server.

Im sure the FT guys are doing their best to fix and I appreciate their efforts. We support you while working through this.

i hope they fix it soon, i'm starting to show withdrawl symptoms.....

People must be getting in occasionally, because the last post time keeps changing in fits and spurts.

I think there have been maybe 3-4 posts made in that forum all day.

I sent them an email asking to post status updates here. Surely by now they realize that something is wrong...? I guess it is a free service with a very simple banner ad, so we can't complain... But keeping us updated would be nice.

I wrote to admin and got the following response this afternoon (1/10/2003)

" The whole FlyerTalk site is being hammered by traffic, which is causing

If that were the problem then United would be equally as bad and it isn't. Plus, this has happened to only the AA board before. And then there are all the mislinked threads in Omni that will take you to FT Airports when you click out of them.
