Why does it take so long for OMNI to load?

There could be a corrupted posting in there, slowing things down; we'll check that angle out.
I got OMNI to load in about 10 seconds here on our dsl...
John just tried it, and it's taking 30+ seconds. He sits right across from me. Weird.
Also, it had been mentioned before, but is it just OMNI that's this slow for you folks? And are all of you going into OMNI from FT Miles?
UPDATE:
The slowness could be caused by the fact that we have OMNI spanning across all our subforums. I've gone in all the Forum control panels and checked the OMNI settings, compared to the others, and they all seem fine; nothing special going on. I recalibrated the other OMNIs to make sure nothing was missed, but since we're actually only using one OMNI, and just sharing it across multiple locations, there wasn't much to recalibrate.

For me, any other forum starts loading (by which I mean, I see modem activity) in less than 3 secs. If I click on OMNI, it takes between 15 and 25 secs before the first byte comes down the line.
I wonder what the web server is doing in that 20 sec period?

I'm having the same problem with OMNI loading slowly while all other fora are fine. Here at work we're on two load-balanced T1's and the rest of the site loads like lightning. Omni will take anywhere from 30 seconds to a minute to load. I always enter via FT Miles.

Omni is not responding today. I'll try again after "housekeeping" is done.
Whant to know how fast you Internet connection is?
Try this:
http://bandwidthplace.com/speedtest/index.html
My test:
Your raw speed was 4441003.58 bits per second.
There are 3 meaningful ways we can interpret this number:
1)Communications
4.4 megabits per second
How communication devices are rated. Kilo means 1,000 and mega means 1,000,000. Examples include 56k modem and 10Mbit Ethernet
2) Storage
The way data is measured on your hard drive and how FTP programs measure transfer speeds. Kilo is 1,024 and mega is 1,048,576.
3) 1MB file download
1.9 seconds
The time it would take you to download a 1 megabyte file at this speed.
