Why is the "hop to" Bar so wide
For the past several days, every time I log in, the "hop to" bar is extremely wide and barely fits on my 15" screen, even when expanded. Is there something I can do to narrow it down? Thanks.

It is the @Miles listing near the top with a description of what it includes that is too long to fit on the screen. It needs to be shortened to make the pull down menu bar shorten up.
In addition, I would like previous topic and next topic added back in to the bottom of all the messages (it now only appears at the top of the messages, whereas before it appeared in both places).

We've shortened the Category descriptions and uncompressed the front page again (since it didn't seem to improve performance at all), so the Hop-To bars will shorten up again.
We aren't planning on rebuilding all the threads again for a few days, so the bars may still remain long on some pages, but they'll eventually shorten up.

Dan,
Working great! I was surprised and happy to see the "old" front page again.
Many thanks to you (and Michael?) and everyone at FT for all the work.
