FlyerTalk "Pings"
Not sure where to post this, so this is as good as any other forum.
Just downloaded a copy of "Zone Alarm" (personal firewall) and got on the FlyerTalk. Was amazed/shocked to have more than 100 "pings" within a 30 minute period. What's up with FlyerTalk ?

I suspect this is most interest to the Flyertalk Technical Staff. Hence, I will be moving the thread to the "Technical" forum.

Did you check the IP addresses of your "pings"? Just because you are surfing FT does not mean that you are not still open to outside traffic. Zone Alarm is a great program and you where wise to install/use a firewall.
Try to find out if you are getting these messages from FT or another entity out on the internet.
Then with that info, FT (if this is what is happening) can better tell you what is going on.

(Didn't know where the Technical Forum was until now)
The "pings" come from different sites. I guess I was just astonished by the quantity of "pings" I encountered in that short time. I haven't had that much activity since. Strange.
Thanks anyway.
