Rssrsvp:

THANK YOU! Your suggestion works for me. There were 5 different cookies enabled for FT when I looked in Internet Explorer - I wasn't sure which to delete. Your workaround has solved this problem.

Thanks again.

Rssrsvp hit it on the head. Basically, if you clean out your existing FT cookies, then instruct FT to remember the new ones for a year, you should be good to go after your first post.

Please refer to the link above for detailed instructions on how to do this if you're not sure...

I followed the instructions and guess what, it works now but only in the FlyerTalk Miles section. When I tried to post in any of the other three boards I had to type my username and password. Do I have to follow these instructions on each other board now in order to get the username and pword to appear?

I tried the cookie resetting. It works for a period of time, somewhere between a day and a week, and then I go back to having to re-enter my username and password every time I come back for a new session. (But not during the session itself).

I'm using Netscape 4.76.

It seems to break when I switch between posting to the miles section and the travel section.

I found that you have to do it for each forum. I use both IE and NS; and it doesn't matter. I went through the cookie delete and preferences set in each forum before all rememberd my name and before all had my 'days of posting history' set at my choice. That is/was a downside to the new multiple forums setup.
