Last Visit information

Once I upgraded to IE 6 at home I lost the ability to have the last visit remembered, and all the rest that goes with it (little light bulb with new posts, not having to enter my username and password every time I post, stuff like that).

I've searched but can't find the cookie or what is driving it. Is this a problem with the 6.0 beta, your board, or is there just some simple file I'm missing?

Even aster posting, I still have to enter the user and ID again the next time I come in again, something I didn't have to do with previous versions of IE.

while not sure what that might be, hopefully it's not a problem we'll inherit with the new board. i seem to recall that this problem comes up on occasional basis in the past and we've never been able to isolate it. It does seem to fix itself over time rather than us being able to do anything with it. I guess this board is just getting worn down with all the chat activity. Apologies and recognition of the problem.

Randy,

And just as a reminder that it might be nice if there was a box that you could click that proactively asks if you want to save this information as a cookie. I don't write messages while traveling at internet cafes and the like because of the stored password.

Don't you love people complaining about a free service that has helped most of us incredibly?

No apologies are necessary, it's a very minor issue. I'm guessing there are some problems with it working with IE6, I'm seeing that in a few places (live the message, your browser is not supported, you must upgrade to ie5 or above for a site that is testing for a type of ie5 instead of ie5 and above).

It's not a big deal at all, it's actually funny, you don't even realize you use those light bulbs, red and yellow folders, until you don't have them.
