I don't know what's up with the posts you were (not) seeing. But this is a new thread missing the OP (aka GeoSpark):

The said OP happens to be a newbie. I suspect the above example has something to do the spam trap mechanism.

Hi,

Yes this happened to me. I am not sure what happened to my first post. It was cleared by a moderator and once it posted. I did use the edit feature to fix a spelling typo then it disappeared. I promise it was not spam.

I re typed the post, but I am not sure if it pending the moderation process or if the post had disappeared again it never appeared after I clicked submit.

Thanks lin821 for helping me bring this to the attention of Flyertalk Support.

no. literally, on one page you see the post listed. on other pages, not listed. in thread, not there. no links, no spam protection, not new posters.

sometimes there may be a difference between being logged on or not. bizarrely. i think one time once i logged in the post was visible in thread. but that may have been coincidence.

IIRC when a new member edits a post, it goes into the moderation queue again if the original post was subject to moderation. In this case, I don't know what happens to the ordering of posts or the post number if another person posts to the thread in the meantime.
