BTW, if you look at the forum index, it will show "61 Replies" after this post of mine is submitted and becomes Post#57. The post/page index for this thread is and has been out of sync for some time now it gives us phantom page phenomenon. Sigh! |

In case you IB folks haven't noticed, this thread all by itself has successfully demonstrated our other unsolved phantom page problem. The non-existed Page 5 just been triggered by your post (Post#56) when there were fewer than 60 posts in thread.

Tech runs a "cleanup script" that hopefully fixes pagination, but sometimes it only lasts a short time. Ultimately it is just a minor annoyance that doesn't actually affect the content you can see at all; you'll never be kept from seeing a post that's on a phantom page, because the phantom page is just that-- it has no content & doesn't really exist. Keeping that in mind and just accepting it are about the best we can do right now. I'm hoping that a future iteration of the software fixes this. Paul |

Not as bad as it was with the previous problem reported in this thread, but whenever I open a thread with a wiki at the top, the width of the wiki box is preset to extend about an additional 25% past the horizontal page boundary.
I tried forcing carriage returns into the text in one wiki to see if it had dynamic sizing, but the width remained the same. Is it possible to get the same fix done for wikis as was done previously for the prior problem? Thank you. ETA example: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/ameri...ct-2012-a.html I'm using safari on an ipad2. ADDED. BTW, this thread was offering me the possibility to click to page 5 (15 posts per page) before I made my post, which is #60 in the thread at the bottom of page 4. Even after posting and refreshing, I can still click at the bottom or top right of the page and ask to see page 5 of the thread. ADDED STILL: The wiki margin problem is better than it was yesterday, but it's still giving me a noticeable difference in the right hand margin of posts in the thread. I also notice that the wikis no longer appear in a bright blue box. |
problems
I'm having the same issues here, having to scroll horizontally onevery new page. Also, can't seem to get past page 2 of this thread; it won't go to 3.

fix?
So this may be a fix; it seems to be working. Under the Firefox "View" menu, select "Zoom", and make sure that there is a check-mark next to "Zoom text only".
YMMV |

Tech believes that this problem is solved. Please let us know if you still need to scroll sideways in threads with wikiposts.

Thank you AeroWesty. What browser and device are you using? This might be an issue if you are using FlyerTalk on your cellphone but should be fine on a computer.
For the record, I'm using a MacBook/Safari 5.1.9. |
