New post overview [excluding or including specific] forums [merged]

Hi,
On of the ways for me to keep up with new post for forums I normally don't monitor is using the "New Posts / Today's Posts" function on the menu bar.
I haven't found a way to exclude some forums in this listing. Is there a way to do this?
I would like to have an overview of all new posts in all forums, excluding the OMNI forums. The subjects there really don't interest me and even some of the titles alone are rather annoying. It's not something I want in a forum like this, so I would prefer not to see them at all.....

You are very welcome. 
There are indeed folks sharing your feeling toward OMNI & /PR, however, there are also die-hard OMNI fans. Some late arrivals would even try post padding, which of course is a no-way in. Here's one example discussion thread: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/techn...cess-omni.html

Thanks again.... For me personally I would rather see them go altogether, because I even find only the titles to be mostly stupid and even offensive. But if other people like them, who am I to judge..... Just not seeing them would take care of me :-).

Just add &exclude=457,652 to the end of the 'whats new' link, that will exclude OMNI & OMNI/PR
The forum numbers can be found in the URL of each forum. M&M is 495 for example.

I have masked RTW! from the Omnis per his request. I've also asked him to report back, as I do not know if that will keep him from seeing its posts on looking at all threads.

Show only specific Forums when searching for new Posts
Hi,
In a different forum I can exclude specific forums from the search for new posts.
[URL]/forum/search.php?do=getnew&exclude=26,31,36,18,54,32
When I click in "New Posts" here at FT, the link is
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/search.php?do=getnew
I see that this also works here.

So, my questions:
a) Is this okay or are there any objections?
B) Is there a call to ONLY call specific forums or to I need a long list of exclusions?
Here is a lot of traffic and I would like to exclude most airlines and only see the ones that I use.

The INCLUDE also works !!
For example

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/searc...ly&include=386
only checks for new posts in the Technical Issues forum. You can compile a short list of your own forums to check.
