Get an ad blocker.... or pay Randy for the ad free version..... I never see the problems or the ads.

Fix the Problem Please
At home, I use Firefox and I have been having the problem lately. I'll look into Adblocker.
At work, I don't have the option of buying an ad-free version. AND, we have all the pop-up blockers you could want, on Internet Explorer, and yet the problem has exploded in the past week.
Could we please have a response from technical support on what Flyertalk's plans are to stop the pages from expanding horizontally so they're unreadable, with the addition of a lot of gobbledygook computer code thrown in?
Thanks....this is a very serious issue that does no favors to advertisers.

If this is an ongoing problem, ok, I can understand it and start checking other sites for travel info and advice. What I can't understand is why there's no word from FT IT on whether or not they can fix it a few days after being notified.

This problem has been posted many times and I only saw it grow worse over last month & last week has been awful. I tried ....... & it didn't help. Since g_leyser identified problem as coming from the Ads (in another thread), I followed Wharveys' advice & joined online Premium FT, & problem went away. For $1 mo ($12 total), was worth it to me not to have continual problems.

Thought that too but heck for $1 month, I didn't care enough at the time to get all riled up & indignant. Of course now you have me thinking that the new owners could be taking same path as the airlines, adding in new viewing & contributor enhancements for a fee, like Priority Posting. I think we have a conspiracy thread started!

Could be that down the line the service will need to be refreshed to deal with new ads or sites, or that I'll somehow get a message about options for additional services for which I'd pay. But as best as I and my tech-savvy stepson could tell, it's simply a free, one-click service.
For the IT folks at FT, thanks for the great non-responses! In and of itself, a good reason to start going to other sites for travel info and discussions.
