Where are the 169k flying from? That could be an interesting market!

Airlineroute reports TP is cancelling VCP (Campinas, Viracopos Sao Paulo) for the winter season. Currently 3weekly.
Increase somewhere else to be expected? TLV?

Budapest airport reports TP is increasing frequency from 7 to 8 weekly.
The interesting part is I cannot find this anywhere else, and even the page of BUD is not clear on the 8th frequency (7 only shown)

Check this link from my previous post about IB TLV operation. Gives you the IB sample view. According to it should be: EZE,MEX,BOG,LIM.

According to PressTur.com, TP will increase the GRU flights with extra red-eye ones.

Exactly. One of the reasons for the cancellation of VCP seems to have been the lack of investments in the airport infrastructures that either resulted in higher operation costs (namely the lack of catering supply) or less convenience for the pax (the lack of duty free).

I can't find it either... There's a new weekly redeye, but it doesn't make 8 weekly flights.

TP1087 LCG0800 – 0825LIS BEH x347
TP1089 LCG1055 – 1115LIS BEH x145

Lisbon – Brussels Reduces from 23 to 16 weekly, TP614/617 cancelled
Lisbon – Copenhagen Service operates 11 weekly, increased from 10 weekly in W11

CPH seems a reaction to Easyjet opening LIS-CPH
MAN seems to confirm the points raised

BRU seems in pain with 1 daily frequency cut.

Not really, this is usual. During winter it usually goes down to 3 daily flights, increasing to 4 during summer.

Newspaper Publico reports 90% load factor for first LIS-OTP.

Pretty good. Still Tap|Basic fare is selling for tomorrow which probably says something about the yield.

Does TAP have enough aircraft for these increased frequencies?

I was wondering the same (actually if they had crews) when I saw the announcement.
HEL and OTP are night flights, so no extra planes needed.
TLS is operated by Portugalia.
The rest should either be stretching the utilization or some other routes were "adjusted".

I guess this summer we will see a lot of no onboard service due to minimum crews.

Exactly! The problem won't be lack of equipment (except when/if aircraft will go tech and there won't be any subs), but PNC shortage.
