I'm still favorably inclined on this.

I'm not. I just looked at the ONSAA forum & in the last 5 months there are 15 Spirit threads. There's not a huge amount of activity in the ONSAA forum, but it's a pretty good mix of airlines & Spirit isn't overtaking the forum.

BTW - while TB is ending, that doesn't mean suggestions by FTers is ending. The CD will still encourage that.

Cheers.

I remain open but unconvinced.

Honestly, your best bet may actually be to wait until TalkBoard disbands and then present your case to SanDiego1K directly.

No one on TalkBoard is disrespecting Spirit, but calling the amount of Spirit threads and posts in these threads "token demand" for a forum would be generous. I brought up this matter in the private forum back in January and a straw poll found that based on the limited number of threads that there wasn't a need for a forum. The demand has not increased, therefore I can't support a NK Forum at this time.

I think its time as well. Spirit is a larger airline than Frontier since the latters spinoff from Republic. If Frontier deserves their own forum, then so does Spirit. The other alternative is to spin Frontier into the Other North and South American Airlines forum.

Looking at this forum, Spirit and Aeromexico are the only 2 being posted about except for 2 small posts about unknown South American airlines

Moving Frontier into the ONSAA forum may be something for the CommunityDirector (CD) to consider moving forward. You can ask her to consider it & put forward your case.

But - given that both Spirit & Aeromexico have 15 threads each in the past 5 months & the ONSAA forum isn't so populated that it's hard to find threads, IMO you have a very uphill battle in convincing either TB or the CD to create a separate forum for Spirit (or Aeromexico for that matter).

Cheers.

Talkboard's demise is already programmed?

In fairness, I think he probably saw the Spirit thread first & then saw the TB disbanding thread.

Cheers.

I'm curious how the stats for Sun Country would compare to Frontier and Spirit.

You don't need to be curious. You can look them up yourself.

Cheers.

Posing about SY seems to be almost nonexistent. The last time SY was commented on was a thread on October 3rd of this year. That's a thread entitled "Sun Country, any Thoughts or Comments?". It has 19 comments in the year it's been posted. Before that, the last Sun Country thread was from late February.
