It is not even close to competing with Trip Reports. A review of a restaurant or hotel is hardly the same as an often wordy report about a trip. For people like me who like to get to the specifics, Flyertalk reviews can meet those needs.

I'm not really sure how effort to create it is relevant...

I thought TB was supposed to be about suggesting new addditions and deletions. If the board wants to include "effort" in its decision-making process, that's up to them.

The don't click on it mentality makes no sense.

Update: There were a grand total of 10 restaurant reviews posted from September to now. That's 3 months and 10 reviews.
