TB 2012 elections?
 

Isn't it time to "throw the bums out"? (Err, uh, I mean announce the new TalkBoard elections.)

Fortunately, the biggest bum ever to serve on TB (me) has permanently disqualified himself, saying that he doesn't feel that anyone should serve more than two terms.

Still, new blood (and new opinions) is always good and hence, each year, I look forward to the chance to select TB members.

I'll be announcing dates within the next two weeks. If you're reading this thread, start thinking now about throwing your hat in the ring.

We begin the call for candidates Monday. The application page goes live at that time.

I will however offer to run the Fundraising side of things. All donations made by PayPal to me will be GUARANTEED to (largely) get to the campaign slush fund. Honest.

Only modest expenses will be retained by me. For instance, This year I have cut back to SQ Business Class, from United First, for all official fundraising Candidate flights. ;)

Wouldn't that make him ineligible for TalkBoard? I understand that all your decisions are made after sufficient time at a bar.

LOL - well if you're candidate # 306 (ie, 305 before you) that would be the first in FT history. :D :D

Once the call for candidates closes on Nov 1st, the Community Director will post ALL the candidates profiles/platforms, etc, so FTers voting will know the background/platform of the various candidates.

FWIW - This is my first term & it ends next month. I will run one more time, and then term out (both self-imposed & then via the rules I helped put in place). I'll put my application in before the deadline. Right now I'm actually doing some 'real-life' stuff.
