You do have to be logged in to see it.

Yes, I can see it when I log in, but if you're not logged in, I don't see any way to get to it on the site.

Now, that’s funny, and may have earned my vote if the other main criteria is met:

My vast expertise in both American and World constitutional law leads me to the conclusion that if a Kenyan birth makes one ineligible to serve as U.S. President, then Cylons (Cylons look like us and they have a plan) should be ineligible to serve on TalkBoard. If appointed Scientific Counselor and Advisor to Madam community director, I will personally assay and vouch all winning candidates for humanness.

When will the voting open? It's already the 12th where I currently am :-) I'd like to get my vote in early.

From the Internet Brands tech guy:

Voting automatically opens at 11pm on Nov 11th; 23:59 mountain time to be precise.

23:59MST so 06:59UTC Nov. 12, just converting to an internationally better recognized format. You know, so the board becomes more international :D

Thank you. Seriously!

Took me a while to understand that voting had started, and find out how to vote:o

It must be done on the candidate page. But there is no indication AFAIK about this on this thread or forum, neither on FT frontpage, or any forumwide or other announcements.

An easy way to vote is to click on the "I voted" icon presented next to the nick for those who has voted.

Could this icon be extended to include a text with something like "Click to vote"?

I agree.

I knew it had started but it took me about 5 minutes to find out where to vote.

Me too. We need an announcement that shows up big and bold on each forum.

On a sad note, I received no bribe offers, so I simply had to vote based on the debate and on my personal knowledge of the candidates.

I deeply regret IB's lack of historical perspective by not opening voting at 11 am (Western European time) on Nov 11.

SkiAdcock Nov 12, 2012 11:26 am

Sitewide announcement is up w/ link for voting.

Cheers. Sharon

Exactly. Right on the money. I'm not sure why past TBs have limited themselves to that, however. I'm excited about the possibilities and the TalkBoard guidelines very explicitly give unlimited scope to making suggestions to the CD and IB.

Maybe more people will read the Q&A threads after voting actually opens. I know I feel obligated to read the materials before casting a vote, but in the past I never was so eager to read stuff well in advance of voting that I found myself returning to read the responses as they were posted rather than reading everything at once.

Exactly how I've operated in past TB elections.

Campaigning in the public thread, huh?

Hopefully voters note who is (and is not) doing this.

I haven't done it, but why is it forbidden again (which I didn't even know, but sounds like it from your post)?

Not sure if I got that. Replying to asked questions one must assume is allowed.
