The FlyerTalk TalkBoard - 2007
Would you like to help guide and improve the community as it continues to
grow?
Here's your chance. Through 7pm ET, Thurs. Nov. 1., we will be accepting
applications from members who would like their names entered into the next
FlyerTalk TalkBoard election.
The TalkBoard is a member-elected board who provide direction and decision
on issues that affect the community as a whole. As a group, the members of
the TalkBoard represent a wide cross-section of FlyerTalk members, and no
one is excluded from entering the election. It is our belief that the best
TalkBoard consists of members from all over the world, some of whom post
often, some who post rarely, some who have been a part of the community for
years, and some who would be considered "newbies." In recent times, the
TalkBoard has proven to be instrumental in guiding the future of the
FlyerTalk Web site and has become much more active in introducing and taking
action on items of interest for the members of FlyerTalk.

Five members will be popularly elected to serve two-year terms on the
TalkBoard (some existing members whose terms are up may choose to re-run for
this elected office). To throw your name into the ring of candidates, simply
complete the application to the right.
Here's the timetable:
Candidate Application: Mon. Oct. 22 - Thurs. Nov. 1
Accepting applications for the five TalkBoard openings.
Candidate Debate: Fri. Nov. 2 - Sun. Nov. 11
A ten day period of question and answer with debates among candidates and
with the members of FlyerTalk.
Candidate Balloting: Mon. Nov. 12 - Sun. Nov. 25
Voting will begin on Mon. Nov. 12 and end Sun. Nov. 25 at midnight. You may
cast your vote at http://www.flyertalk.com/talkthevote/ when the voting
booth opens.
The current terms of TalkBoard members gleff, ScottC, ozstamps, Cholula and Dovster are ending.
