I am sure LX will not change their C class seats on the A 330-200 fleet neither now nor in the future as they are phasing out that fleet and replacing it with A 330-300 fllet which suppose to arrive at the begining of next year. Then you will notice a lot of improvements in the C class seating.

In case LX will not upgrade the seats on the A343's we will have again 2 different products and in a couple of years we'll end up with a simmilar discusion. Hence this would be then really stupid as this would mean LX has a inferior product on it's longest routes and a superior products on shorter flights. So I hope LX has in it's mind to upgrade the A340's with the same seating as on the A333's soon.
Actually this was the case with SR and at the begining with LX. The A332's had a superior C class product than the MD11's and also the Y class on MD11 was inferior as there was no IFE and on the A332's there was.

I have business class travel San Diego-Zurich, probably on Swiss, scheduled for late May/early June. Last time I flew Swiss (3 years ago) the only planes with lie-flat seats were on the LAX-ZRH route. Is that still the case? Fares seem to be cheaper if I connect through JFK.

Cannot find relevant thread in the search.
I will be flying EWR-ZHR with the Privatair and - while familiar with the LH service - I cannot find info on the seat for this flight. Particularly it says that it is a 56 seat plane while the same one operated for LH is a 46 seater...
Anybody can shed some light please?

Thats the bird, including pictures of the seat - the seat map is not accurate though.

A hint, select row 7 which is emergency exit or even better row 1 whcih has endless space. So incase the angle of the seat in fully flat position is too steep which it is in my oppinion, worse than on the A340 you could bring a sleeping bag and a camping matres and sleep on the floor as the space is there in row 1

I always go for row seven, since service usually starts in the middle of the cabin - on the easttward flight this really helps in maximizing sleep (having the quick meal and no breakfast).
