No new seats on any A330-200 ever. But new A330-300s with new seats in 2009, as stated above.

Well I'll be on a 332. So I can only pray for an equipment change.

It looks like SWISS is seriously considering too keep some A330-223's for expansion purposes. Hence this would mean when LX decided that they will go ahead with this that some A332's will receive a new cabin. Nevertheless the decision for LX to keep some A332's heavily depends if they will be able to recruit enough pilots in the next couple of years. I would assume that the A332's that would be kept will be in a 2 Class config as with the new seats you coulld fit max 190 pax in a 3 Class confiugration

Interesting statement LXA350. Do you have any sources or is it just a rumor among the crew?

This information is from the Swiss Aviation forum on Airliners.net by a pilot student at LX who received this information there.

A pilot student spilling the beans on his masters "R&D plans" - sounds like a good way of making sure to leave student life early....

Cheers

New Swiss Business Class

2 years ago Swiss showed selected hon/sen customers the new lie flat business class seats in a mock up. Any news on the status ? They should have the money by now.

For some reason the new C Class product is not ready yet otherwise they could've installed it on the 6 A343s that are currently joining the fleet which is a shame considering that in december the frist A333 is planned for delivery. Well lets hope they will upgrade the A343's eventually as well.

I hope so... the A330 J seats are horrible... what is wrong with Swiss management? They spent a fortune on their intra-European J but intercontinental is really bad outside of a few choice routes...

Are you referring to the A340-300 as the "choice routes"?

well that appears to be the distinguishing factor

In the case of BOS, 90% of the time they fly the A330... NYC is a 340 for example...
