Goldie/Senator questions
Three Questions for Those Goldies Who Know:
"elite upgrades" are credited at 1 per 50K miles. Is that per calendar year, or is collection on a rolling basis? i.e. from 70K miles in 2005 I got one upgrade - if I collect 30K before M&M-day, can I expect another? Guess what I've received two conflicting answers today from HQ - one of you might have experience of what happens in practice.
Will our soon-to-be Senator accounts come with e-upgrades?
Did anybody receive a re-qualification present from LX this year?
Thans - Ian

"For as long as you remain a Swiss Circle member, you'll receive a personal Elite Upgrade from Swiss Business to Swiss First or from Swiss Economy to Swiss Business on a flight with a SWISS flight number operated by a SWISS aircraft for every 50 000 Club Miles you have earned since January 1, 2005" (from LX STC elite benefit website - should be the same I assume for Gold)
It doesn't say from the beginning of each calendar year, but from January 1, 2005. Therefore you should get it!
2) Yes :
"A special treat for special customers: when you receive your Senator status we will electronically credit your M&M account with two upgrade vouchers (eVouchers)... Each time your Senator status is renewed, we will give you another two eVouchers when we send you your new Senator card." (from the M&M Senator brochure)
3) No

"And there is no limit to the number of Elite Upgrades you can earn within a calendar year."
I can't see what purpose those last four words serve!
