Crazy that they only had 3 of the reds in FCL A available on the weekend: Zweigelt (3.8 Vivino, €14 / bottle), Porpora (3.7 Vivino, €16/bottle) and the López Cristóbal (3.9 Vivino, €12/bottle).
The Zweigelt and Porpora were meh to OK at best.
Certainly nothing First Class about that!

Yeah, FCL E had a wine list and two OK whites that I tried (Swiss chardonnay and Chablis).

Seeing that wine list is interesting as I've been having a Pinot Noir all month that doesn't appear on the list (but is different to the previous Gate Gourmet one) until yesterday when it was gone and I tried the Cornalin "L'Égrappeuse" which I would happily have again.

I was quite impressed by the new catering in SEN A during breakfast and lunch today. Massive step up on all levels (starters, hot dishes and also desserts) compared to before. Staff was very engaged and motivated. So far very happy about the change!

Choice of hot dishes?
Any decent wines or bubbles?

Rösti with all kind of stuff to add, Hacktätschli yesterday and the usual salads and bread. Not that excited about the drink offerings but at least a tiny bit better than for example the brandy they had earlier that Denner sells for 15 CHF, still mostly cheaper stuff.

Thanks for reporting. Doesn't sound too bad and gives some hope. Don't get to ZRH almost every week anymore, like I used to for a while, but will check it out soon.

Just for context, what is stark about this is that Star F pax (not on SQ) out of SIN can use this SKL F (as opposed to TPR which is for SQ Suites and F only with additional champagnes to choose from) whereas if you are flying anything Star F out of MUC, ZRH, FRA, except for LH and LX F (eg. SQ Suites ex-FRA), you are relegated to the SEN lounge...champagne what now??
On the flip side, the SKL F is a Solitaire frequent flyer lounge, so even a bog standard Scoot Y flight gets you entry to enjoy this champange at SIN.
So, if you put all that into perspective, yes absolutely, LH Groups FCLs could and should offer better champagne at the very least!

Headline is natural light and offering three champagnes:
Champagne Geoffroy Expression Brut,
2007 Charles Heidsieck Blanc des Millenaires (as described above) and
2013 Piper Heidsieck Rare
LH group take note.

For those of you flying LX and LH F / are the Hon equivalents out of SIN, SQ will be opening up the new SKL F in T2 this Friday (better for LH group flights).

LHG do not care, they think they have a sufficiently large captive market , LX & LH F lounges are on a downward spiral, MUC is the exception but for how long 🤔
