Even though I made it to my the flight, my bags didn't. Nonetheless I've enjoyed the ZRH airport a lot!

My transfer time in ZRH was 1 hr 20 mins, but my flight was 30 mins delayed so they almost had 2 hrs to transfer my bags. Thankfully they sent it with the next flight which was 4 hours later, however my bags then got lost at AMS. Luckily the lady I spoke to earlier in the day was able to get help and found them, so I got my bags with a 6 hr delay.

Of course the bags did not make it, but they were not sent with the next available flight, but only with the third flight of the following day . Tracking did not work, but the handling agent at MXP was extremely helpful indicating clearly on which flight the bags were.

In my recent case (C) I was transferred by minibus to passport control and then to the outside position of the departing plane., Connection time was 10 minutes due to delay.

The bus gates at the A gates are right "in" the terminal, as close as it can be to security/transfer area.
The bus gates at the B&D gates are all across that terminal area, they can be interchanged with regular gates. Not that far either.
In short, you don't need to walk that much in Zürich, no matter what.

There will be someone waiting for all F pax and take them directly to a more private passport control and then take you to the F Lounge.

I am getting into a complete muddle about connecting at ZRH! I have tried to sort it out using this site and some others but instead I am becoming even more confused. The terminals at Zurich are referred to as terminals, gates, airside and docks in different places and also some seem separate and others congruent. They are also both numbered and lettered. I am at a loss.
I arrive from OSL in J on a LX flight operated by Helvetic and connect 2 hours and 15 minutes later onto a LX flight to BKK in F, one ticket. I have a UK passport and am a UK citizen.
I want to get as much of the F experience as I can in my connection time but what I do and where I go is baffling. Help!
