To be serious I have never seen this anywhere else then on a Swiss plane...it's definitively not a standard item in Swiss bakeries

Here the F menu ZRH-MIA Sep 6
Some notes:
-salmon as always excellent
-pate with truffles pretty good
-sea bass tartare mediocre
-venison medallion barely edible
-guinea fowl just ok
-parfait good
All in all a nice effort but a very forgettable meal
I had a better meal in LX business last month

Hello everybody,
I'm new to the Swiss forum and I wanted to double check something:
does the Business Class menu for long-haul flights change every few months?
Is it the same for all route to the US?
Also, can you confirm they will serve an appetizer before the main course on west bound flights?
I am flying to ZRH-JFK in a couple months in J and was wondering what to expect.
Thank you all so much

They will serve a choice of appetizer, a separate salad and cheese on one tray first, followed by the main course and dessert.

The menu changes every 3 months. You should get a different menu from the one posted by CitationCJ in #240. I believe it's the same menu for all longhaul flights ex-ZRH.

I realize this is just for Biz and FC but I wouldn't mind seeing what they serve for us coach passengers? My first time on Swiss and pretty excited.
I did check out one website, airline meals, but most of their posts were geared towards Biz and FC.

I was on a recent Zurich- Los Angeles Business Flight & ask a question regarding the venison served with spaetzle noodles.
I would have thought that this being a regional stew that the venison would have been tender, well it was tough as shoe leather.
Is it supposed to be chewy? if so it is an acquired taste.

I flew LX 86 YUL ZRH in Business yesterday, one tray, no appetizer, no pre-dinner drink service, no bread offered, no drinks offered until the trays were cleared. No mid-flight snacks, no water offered after dinner. Truly a shameful decline in Business Class service.

I believe it would be great if LX would copy the BA model and get rid of dinner sevicd on east coast flights completely. Never could understand why people insist on F&B on a 7h red eye if they can get fed at the lounge....majority of pax and certainly all frequent flyers will try to maximize sleep and not calories!
