Today handed in 15 cards for miles, pretty weird reaction at my local Coop.
"You're only allowed 5 cards for miles" was their first one, which I corrected them pointing out what's written on their very card, second one was "You need to pay 34.90 CHF per card", like I didn't know that.. after I showed them my lowly FTL card they apparently realised I know what I'm doing.. must have had some Blue members without a clue there before.. for them it's certainly a bad deal to buy miles when all they'll ever use them is a short haul in whY or some of the Swiss Worldshop gifts

I had more than 5 cards (I actually wanted to turn in 6), and the woman said that we just need to use a 2nd form to turn in more than 5 cards. There certainly seems to be a wide variation in the ignorance of how these things work, and the friendliness of their implementation.
What I plan to do is make a list of the COOP stores whose service clients I have used to turn in these cards, here in Suisse Romande only, with my various experiences. Naturally, I tend to go the most to the one I trust. But there have been a couple where the miles have simply not turned up, and I have had to fiddle around and fight for them, and you should know about these. I would be interested to know how often those of you who have not had your M&M card actually with you (I have mine by memory), managed to turn in some cards for miles anyway.
Lastly, I bought some knives with some spare cards, and I was appalled at their quality. The small ones don't cut anything, but I will keep them as table knives for eating pizza or steaks. The bigger ones are apparently better, but I don't think I will waste money on them. Another knife, I am planning on taking back, and saying it is useless. What is the point of selling a kitchen knife if there is no sharp blade? If you need better knives, go for those in the Migros, made by Victorinox.

@ at St.Annahof (Bahnhofstr, Zurich), sometimes they even credit Superpoints when paying for the miles (and give out additional trophy 'Märkli' ...sometimes (1/3 of the time).

Giving you Superpoints for redeeming Trophy cards, how would they do that? The item "Swiss Voucher" is stored in their cash register system as an item that does not give you Superpoints. Do they manually add Superpoints to your receipt? I can't imagine that...

Yes, that sounds weird too.. I've asked them (just for fun) if I can get superpoints as well, which of course they declined. As I already got some more miles by paying with the Visa Cornercard, I'm off well enough
