I'm sure if you send Randy a blank cheque he would be more than happy to oblige.

Actually about a month ago we purchased about $32K in new Dell Servers and have been doing a few things since: spending a lot of time making sure our security systems have been hardened, load testing the arrangement of the new servers and more importantly, making sure in a test environment that the upgrade we plan on launching with vB (our bulletin board software) has the kinks worked out and that all the tech guys on this side know what works and why.

There's several things we are doing as well as working around Joshua's vacation time recently, Mikel's vacation time recently and Tim's vacation time later this week.

So, there are upgrades coming which will require some down time for FT which we'll try and schedule during what we hope is a slow period.

As a note, whenever you are experiencing a slow period on FT, it may not be FT's fault. Sometimes as we've seen, various parts of the Internet slow down as well. But nonetheless, we really haven't had any great number of complaints lately about the speed of FT and i just looked in the Technical forum and there are no new threads regarding Web site performance for some time but are still going ahead with the new upgrades - both servers and bulletin board software. It's real tricky when you have 6 million posts as FlyerTalk does.

I would have to agree with RP and suggest the "slowness" of FT at times is not always an issue that FT can be blamed for. I was experiencing similar problems a few months back but where it seemed the internet worked well on everything but FT. After an upgrade of my home modem it cleared all problems I had with surfing around FT.
