Suggestion for mobile flyertalk...

I have been testing a product to enable WAP/XHTML access to Vbulletin, I think this might be a great addition for Flyertalk as well:

http://www.wiforums.net/prodinfo.htm...FullFeaturedV3

It would integrate nicely and let us do everything we normally do, but on a portable device...

Pretty sweet -- I'll run it by Randy and see what he thinks.

Thanks.

Sure, I can give you an update. And thanks ScottC for the referral and reminder.

We actually own a license to this software solution for WAP and FlyerTalk. But, we have an incompatible issue with the solution and the current way that we cache FlyerTalk for performance and load factors. But that's not the ned of the story. Tim has come up with a work-around solution for the issue and we think we can get this up for your use in the near future - days or a few weeks. Normally I'd say Tim would have had this done by now but we've had some major issues with our email and our server solutions and they have own hands tied right now. But, it is our intention to make this available to you in a very short amount of time.

Thanks for your interest in FlyerTalk everywhere, however.

Randy, as always many thanks to you and your staff for looking into this, and all the hard work it is taking!

Thank you in advance!

The technology behind Flyertalk as it exists really does amaze me. In the past I've used the Flyertalk Lite/Archive site for mobile browsing. But this would be a huge improvement! ^

Thumbs up Another vote for this!

I view (and sometimes even post to) FlyerTalk from my BlackBerry, since I acquired it in April 2005; especially when I'm travelling.

Anything that would make this more efficient would be greatly appreciated! ^

Thanks Tim!!

If you OK with a wider audience, you might want to add it to the list of WAP sites in the Travel Technology forum sticky.
